GUIDED TOURS AND GROUP BOOKINGS

A group of Trainee nurses in 1894

Group tours of the Prince Henry Hospital Nursing and Medical Museum, Nurses War Memorial Chapel and the Prince Henry Hospital precinct can be organised Monday through Friday by appointment. 

Tours commence at 10:30am and are 2hrs in duration.

ADMISSION CHARGES

  • ADULTS – $13.00 per person
    ($15 with refreshments)

  • CHILDREN – $2.00 per child

Minimum: 10 people
Refreshments available by arrangement

These tours are suitable for:

  • Primary school students* who want to learn about the history of the hospital and/or health sciences.
  • University and TAFE students wanting first-hand experience of nursing and medical history; polio and other infectious disease responses over time, medical instrumentation and the culture and management of hospitals from 1881 – 2004.
  • Community groups interested in historical events at the hospital and the development of nursing, medicine and disease management at Prince Henry Hospital over time.
